Eating Duck Fetus with feathers still intact in the Philippines

WARNING MATURE CONTENT 18+ https://ift.tt/189KaX8 In the Philippines, eating duck fetus is a common street food. Just like a segment on Fear Factor, Balut as it is most popularly called locally, is a fertilized duck embryo that is boiled and eaten in the shell. The embryos are formed with all the normal appendages that you find on a young duckling or chick, like the legs, partially feathered wings, complete with the beak as well! Balut is also a popular aphrodisiac for men. Eating aborted duck fetuses in the egg is an old Philippines tradition. Other viewers however compared this to eating aborted human babies, "I'm "racist" to any country that eats babies in the womb". Some foreigners to the Philippines haven often tried their mouth a balut. But upon feeling the feathers and beak, they couldn't find it within themselves to swallow it. Other local seems to enjoy the fertilized duck embryo. Perhaps just the way we snicker at people who can't eat fish with the head still attached or a whole roast pig or a Chinese roast duck the same way Filipino snicker at foreigners eating balut.
